This page will be dedicated to young bands playing traditional metal inspired by 70s/80s heavy and speed metal.

I am not sure if this is already treated as an official name of movement, but New Wave Of Traditional Heavy Metal gets mentioned more and more often among fans of oldschool metal. The term itself sounds very similar to late 70s/early 80s New Wave Of British Heavy Metal. It is quite on purpose as NWOBHM is the main inspiration for young bands associated with this movement.

Glass shattering screams, blazing solos and hell of a power pouring from the scene is what you can expect from those bands. But it's not only about their sound, it's also about their looks and whole style of being. Take any one from the list below (or a group of their fans) and you would think that someone used time machine to bring them here from around 1980.

I'll try in time to feature here as many noticable bands as I can but I'll just start with those several ones that I know best. I'll put more once I'm done with other stuff. Band names will be replaced with logos.

Please note that for the moment the info may be outdated because it was written some time ago. I'll deal with that once I'm done with first priority To-Do's.
