Steelwing

Band was formed by ex-members from a local band Hellevator - Alex(guitars), Oskar (drums) and Robby (guitars) - together with Skürk (bas) and Riley (vocals). Soon they have proved that they're going to make some serious noise on the metal scene as they won Rock the Nation Award 2009 which allowed them to get a contract with NoiseArt Records. In 2010 their first album "Lord of the Wasteland" was released.

Their post-apocalyptic-themed music was well received by metal underground and the band started touring intensely around Europe. I must say, opening for Blind Guardian and later for Sabaton on their World War Tour 2010 certainly allowed Steelwing to get through to heavy metal fans and gradually gain popularity.

2011 saw them still touring, this time opening for Accept. This was also the year of the only line-up change in history of Steelwing. Skürk left the band due to personal reasons and was soon replaced by Nic Savage. With this slightly changed line-up they have recorded second album, "Zone of Alienation" which was released at the beginning of 2012.

Unfortunately this was so far the last release of Steelwing and not much is known about when can we expect new album.
